Cure for papillomas: means to remove them

Papilloma on a woman's neck

Papillomas are benign neoplasms located on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, which look like a papillary growth located on a thin "bone". This disease is associated with the human papillomavirus. The resulting papillomas can be sore, painful and cause external defects. In this case, a natural question arises about their removal. Below we will talk about drugs for the removal of papillomas.

The human papillomavirus is far from a harmless representative of the viral flora. Not only does it cause the formation of papillomas and warts, but this pathogen sometimes leads to the appearance of malignant neoplasms, especially cervical cancer. In 2019, researchers published a work in which it was established that the population has low awareness of the human papillomavirus, its routes of transmission, consequences and preventive measures.

Local medicine

Use of topical medication to remove papilloma

First, let's look at drugs designed specifically for the removal of papillomas. We emphasize that before using them, you must consult a specialist.

The first medicine is a liquid for external use, which contains two components - metacresol and phenol. It must be applied pointwise to the affected areas of the skin or mucous membranes using a special stick, avoiding contact with adjacent areas of the skin. For small papillomas, a single application is usually sufficient, for larger ones, repeated applications (3-4 times) may be required at intervals of several minutes.

How does this remedy work? The components included in the solution lead to coagulation of skin proteins, due to which papillomas disappear.

Another commonly used preparation is a liquid made from sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide. It also has a cauterizing effect, so you can effectively remove not only papillomas, but also warts, genital warts, etc.

In addition, a solution containing:

  • nitric acid;
  • acetic acid;
  • lactic acid;
  • oxalic acid dihydrate;
  • copper nitrate trihydrate.

It belongs to the local necrotizing drugs, promotes the destruction of pathologically changed tissues. This product is also applied in spots on the affected area. If necessary, the treatment is repeated several times.

Systemic therapy

Local medicine alone is not enough to effectively fight papillomas. To prevent relapse, systemic therapy must be carried out, namely taking drugs that have an antiviral and immunomodulatory effect.

An example is inosine-acedoben-dimepranol. This drug is active against the human papillomavirus, helps to suppress it in the body and has an immunostimulating effect.

We emphasize once again that before using any kind of medicine, you should consult a specialist.
